Build your arborist skills at this year’s IAA Summer Conference.  This one-day event will be held on Thursday, May 25th at the Dixon Springs Agricultural Center in rural Pope County.  Experts in tree care and forestry will give presentations and demonstrations on tree felling, proper pruning and invasive species identification and control.  Tree care can be a dangerous job, so safety and technique are major themes for this conference.  This includes sessions on the use and inspection of safety equipment, including PPE and tree climbing ropes and gear, and working near utility lines.  This conference will benefit both those new to the tree care industry, as well as seasoned professionals.

We will also cover utility topics in an effort to bridge a gap between UVM and the rest of the tree industry. When we all work together to achieve a common goal, great things can happen.
